Opportunity Details
On June 1, STRIVE's STEM Entrepreneurship Day will be held at Allen High School. Our team is seeking volunteers to help with giving out lunches, after lunch clean-up, getting students form one activity to the next, etc. STEM Entrepreneurship Day is an opportunity for teens in grades 8th-12th from around the Valley to gain the tools for succeeding as entrepreneurs. This free event will consist of workshops, a panel discussion, and a pitch competition, all aimed at helping teens to understand the business world.
STRIVE is an afterschool STEM leadership development organization. It serves underrepresented and first-generation students in the 8th-12th grades in Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley public schools. Its mission is not only to develop students' interest in STEM but also to foster their holistic development by preparing them for post-secondary education and professional careers. STRIVE programming exposes teens to valuable opportunities to develop their skills, learn from role models, gain resources, and build their networks.
