http://striveyouth.comOur Mission… STRIVE Youth is a STEM leadership program that fosters the holistic development of children and youth by preparing them for post-secondary education and professional careers as well as by helping each student to recognize their talents and self-worth. Through this model, we support and encourage our students to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. How we achieve our mission… We believe that success is dependent on two fundamental factors, education and exposure. Thus, we enhance their public school education with programming that includes STEM Leadership Training, Mentoring, Coaching, Academic and Cultural Enrichment, and Community Service. This programming exposes underrepresented youth to valuable opportunities to develop their skills, learn from role models, gain valuable resources, and build their network. Who are STRIVE youth… We serve first-generation and underrepresented public school students in Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley) and Florida (Polk and Hillsborough Counties). Our PA students are 8th-12th graders, many of whom are from inner city schools. Our FL students are 3rd-12th graders, many of whom are from rural communities. STRIVE Youth is adding value to the community… Because we foster holistic development of youth thereby building community assets, empowered citizens and culturally conscious STEM leaders who are prepared to serve their communities.
