Volunteers are the lifeblood of many nonprofit agencies and enable these agencies to fulfill their missions. Learning how to recruit, manage and motivate people is crucial for a successful volunteer program. We can help you gain the skills and resources you need to build and maintain a robust volunteer program in today’s challenging environment.
The Volunteer Program Management Series is a 6-week training which focuses on the 5 functions of the management process as they relate to issues in volunteer management, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading and directing. Guest speakers are featured throughout the series. Program is updated annually to focus on current trends and relevant topics. One featured session includes leveraging social media to recruit & retain volunteers.
The course is designed for new or experienced coordinators of volunteer programs or anyone interested in exploring a career in volunteer administration. The fee for the program is Member Agency Rate of $150 or non-Member Agency Rate of $175.00.
