Allentown Victory Church’s Residence called, “Recover Victory Home” has a Mission to find, support, and create and sustain recovery residences that offer safe, sober, and structured residence to (currently and only) Men and (eventually) Women in early recovery in a common family style residential home. Recover Victory Home believes that healing and recovery occurs when one feels a part of a Christian family atmosphere and is supported in a community home. We believe that following 12 Step recovery program guidelines and a set of "rules for living" in a quality residential recovery home further increases a guests opportunity to recover. Our vision is to demonstrate that a structurally safe family style recovery residence can exist and blend into any residential community. We believe when men and women in recovery have the opportunity to live in a common Christian residential community they receive a higher than average probability of achieving a healthy, meaningful, and addiction free lifestyle due in part to being a productive part of the community where they reside. Also, we believe the condition of the recovery residence, the recovery residences internal family structure, and the ability to connect residents to resources available in the community where they reside is critical to achieving their goals. The structure provided in Recover Victory home under Allentown Victory Church, will assist in the development of life skills. These life skills are learned through community living, and the connections made through community vocational and educational resources give these guests the highest probability of returning to independent living.
