Sayre Child Center Playground Spring Refresher
Sayre Child Center is looking for a heping hand and a few green thumbs!
Project Date: May 1st
Mulch delivery will take place either the day of the project or during the week leading up to May 1st.
We are reaching out to request support from volunteer teams for an upcoming outdoor improvement and beautification project at our day care center. As we prepare our grounds for the spring and summer seasons this, we are hoping to partner with community organizations that are interested in hands-on service.
Our primary projects include refreshing our outdoor playground and surrounding grounds. Volunteers will assist with:

De-weeding garden and play areas
-
removing overgrowth
-
rakingand spreading mulch evenly across playground area
Additional tasks may include:

Sanding and painting a small deck space attached to our modular building

Removal and breakdown of a small ramp outside a shed area

General landscaping and grounds beautification, as time and ability allow
For volunteers, we ask that participants provide their own tools, either purchased or personally owned, when possible. Helpful items include:

metal bow rakes or wide poly rake

Work gloves and safety glasses
-
Sanding tools (hand sanders or power sanders, if available)
This is a rewarding opportunity for teams to work together while making a visible, lasting impact on a local early childhood program that has been serving families in the lehigh valley for over 125 years.
