Food Pantry Inventory Coordinator - Monday
Monday Mornings
Schedule: Mondays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., including pantry distribution hours 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Role Overview
The Volunteer Food Pantry Inventory Coordinator (Monday Mornings) supports the behind-the-scenes operations of the Wilson Area LINCS Food Pantry by managing food inventory, storage, and incoming donations to ensure safe and efficient distribution. This role works closely with pantry volunteer staff and reports to the Volunteer Food Pantry Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up food donations from local grocery stores
- Unload and sort donated food items
- Check products for expiration dates and damage
- Rotate inventory (FIFO) so older items are distributed first
- Stock shelves, refrigerators, and freezers
- Load leftover fresh food for delivery to partner organizations
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas, including breaking down cardboard and disposing of trash
Physical & Skill Requirements (Required)
- Ability to lift and carry 40–45 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack
- Stand and remain active for up to 5 hours
- Read small print on food labels and follow detailed instructions
