Inspire Young Minds: Volunteer with our STEAM Club!
Do you enjoy Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) and want to make a positive impact on young learners? Our STEAM Club is looking for enthusiastic volunteers—high school age and older—to work with small groups of elementary students (1–4 students) on fun, hands-on projects each week.
Past projects have included making butter from scratch, creating papier-mâché volcanoes, building 3D “geometry cities,” and many other creative, curiosity-sparking activities.
STEAM Club now meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30–5:00 PM at our Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley Youth Mentoring Center (41 S. Carlisle Street, Allentown, PA 18109). Our Thursday cohort has been so successful that we are expanding to a Tuesday session as well, and we are especially looking for volunteers to support this new Tuesday group. Volunteers are welcome to help on either day—or both!
No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to explore, create, and support students as they discover the world around them.
