STEAM Club Mentor
Kids in our community are always looking for ways to have fun, learn and grow both in and out of the classroom but often times don't have the necessary space, materials or guidance to do so! But together we can change that - Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley has started a new after school mentoring program called STEAM Club and with the help of friendly and dedicated community volunteers, kids can continue to grow their curiosity and have fun beyond the classroom.
As a volunteer mentor, you can help elementary school students learn more about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) concepts, have fun and inspire the future leaders of the Lehigh Valley! STEAM Club takes places on Thursdays from 3:30pm-5pm at the BBBSLV Youth Mentoring Center in Allentown from October-May. Volunteers are asked to attend twice a month, and you can select which weeks you attend.
Getting started is simple, just enter your information in our interest form and a Big Brothers Big Sisters staff member will reach out to you soon to share more details. Once you have completed the enrollment process (application, clearances, and volunteer interview), you'll have the chance to inspire and mentor kids in a creative, meaningful and enriching environment to help them thrive at our supervised after school program!
New for January 2026! STEAM Club will also take place on Tuesdays from 3:30pm-5pm so you can choose to volunteer on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Complete your volunteer enrollment process during the summer so you are set to volunteer when the 2025-2026 school year begins!
