Special Olympics PA - Head Coaches
Experience the Joy of Special Olympics as a head coach! Head coaches lead and organize their team of athletes and volunteers to create a comprehensive sport training program. They teach the skills and instill the spirit that defines a true athlete.
While specific sports knowledge/experience is helpful, we also offer coach training opportunities and resources, as well as support from our staff and coaches.
We have 4 sport seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. We are searching for head coaches for basketball in Berks County and swimming in Bethlehem in the spring. We will need head coaches for bocce in both Carbon and Schuylkill Counties in the fall. In the winter, we will need a head coach for bowling in Lehigh County.
Volunteers are asked to complete our registration, which includes a background check and basic trainings. For more information or to register, please reach out to glvpr@specialolympicspa.org. Thank you!
