Dairy helpers for milking
Our herd is incredible! We have 6 adorable heifers for you to enjoy and learn how to be a part of the milk industry. Help us supply local food pantries with our milk. You will also work with our 12 friendly milking goats and 3 Jersey cows in the morning or afternoon milking times. We need a volunteer who wants to learn to milk, maybe clean stalls, and fill water buckets. Morning is a very special time in all seasons to enjoy this great environment. We presently milk in our 150 year old barn and use a bucket milker. We will train anyone who is willing to learn. For the benefit of our animals and the program, we request that milkers commit to 1 or more days a week on a regular schedule that fits their lifestyle and our schedule. The ladies are prompt with their milking expectations :)
Must be able to bend and lift at least 10 lbs. Training provided.
