High School Volunteers Needed
We're looking for high school students 14 years and over to participate in our summertime Junior Volunteer Program! Earn community service hours while learning about responsibility, accountability, and time management in a busy, energetic environment. Students generally assist in one of three areas:
Resident Transport - Help residents get to beauty shop, salon, and clinic appointments, all right here at Gracedale.
Activity Assistants - Help our Life Enrichment staff transport residents to an activity, then help with the actual activity. Some of our more popular events are bingo games, special lunches, and card tournaments.
One to One Visits - Sit with residents while engaging in conversation, assist residents with completing their menus, or take them outside to the gardens for fresh air and sunshine!
Hours are available Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm, with a commitment of at least one day per week required. Orientation sessions are June 12th & 18th!
