It's Simple to Get Involved; Here's How it Works

  1. Review the nonprofit/school needs on this page: https://www.volunteerlv.org/holiday-hope-chests-needs 
  2. When you have reviewed the details of an organization you'd like to support, scroll to the bottom of the page and complete the donor pledge form to specify for which ages & genders you will be purchasing items.
  3. You will receive an email confirmation of your pledge that will include gift tags for labeling your boxes, the items needed, items to avoid, the address and timeframe for dropping off your items).
  4. Collect and wrap shoeboxes (if the nonprofit/school requested shoeboxes) for kids ages 2-12. View the video below for instructions on wrapping shoeboxes with attached lids.
  5. Purchase items (please pay careful attention to the nonprofit/school requests and items to avoid from your confirmation email).  Suggested Gift Items   Item Photo Collages for 2-12 year old filled Shoeboxes
  6. Place items for 2-12 year olds into your wrapped shoeboxes or container if the organization doesn't need items to be in shoeboxes. Print, cut, fill out the gift tags, and affix them to the Holiday Hope Chest. Gift cards for 13+ should be in a sealed envelope marked with the number of cards and dollar amounts; they do not need tags.
  7. Drop off your items directly at the nonprofit/school during the date/time you indicated on your donor pledge form.
