Planning for the Volunteer Challenge Event on May 10th

Each Challenge Team/nonprofit pair should design a tabletop display that highlights your project. The Challenge Event is a career-fair-style event that showcases the projects. Work together to decide what your display will be. Tables are 6' and rectangular with a black tablecloth covering them. If you need electricity for your table display, email Meghan at meghan@volunteerlv.org. Please do not bring in any outside food or beverages.

Get the word out about the event! Invite your co-workers, your board, your partners to register for the event. Each Challenge Team and each nonprofit receive 2 complimentary tickets.

Day of the Volunteer Challenge Event

Challenge Teams and nonprofits can start arriving at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks around 3:30pm. You'll want to arrive with enough time to unload materials and set them up at your designated table. There is a loading dock at the back of the building for bringing in your table displays. If you are coming in from 3rd street on Founder's Way, turn right before you pass the ArtsQuest Center main entrance. Please do not bring your displays through the main entrance of the building. The loading dock is located at the back of the building and can be accessed off of Founders Way. Volunteers will be available to help you unload and to direct you to the main event room on the 3rd Floor. You can then park your vehicle in the main event parking lot off of 1st Street.

Food will be provided for you starting at 4:00pm. The Challenge event is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

Plan to have at least 1 person at your table during the majority of the event. There is a very short program and the rest of the event is for learning about the projects and networking. Have fun and celebrate all the amazing work that was possible through this year's Volunteer Challenge.
