Tour Guide / Docent

Docents (Tour Guides) are an essential and important part of our volunteer team.  As a docent, you will have the opportunity to greet and provide visitors with an educational experience about Native American lifeways and history as it pertains to our exhibits.  The Museum of Indian Culture is an active learning center for children and adults of all ages.  Visitors can learn how to make fire with a bow, or if weather permits learn to use the atlatl.   If you have an interest in Native American history and culture or early Pennsylvania history and love to talk, consider being part of our educational team.  

Tour Guide shifts are flexible from 6 to 24 hours per week, Thursday – Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm.   Training is provided in-house.   To ensure everyone’s safety, All COVID safety requirements are followed.   Face masks are mandatory.
