Activities Assistant
Description: The sites need someone to help engage with and monitor the kids in different activities, and to help with teaching them new skills.
Supervisor: Unit Director
Essential Duties:
- Engage with youth ages 6-18 in individual and group activities
- Monitor internet usage
- Assist with gym activities (basketball games and various activities)
- Assist in teaching different crafts like crochet and painting
- Help out with hydroponic garden and cooking classes
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- FBI Fingerprinting clearance, Child Abuse clearance, Background Check
- Bilingual in Spanish/English appreciated, not required
- Experience with children preferred, not required
Commitment: at least 2 hours once a month, anytime from 10 am to 4 pm in the summer
