Classroom Aide for ESL and Adult Education GED Classes
The Center for Career Pathways at the Allentown campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College is looking for volunteer classroom aides for its adult literacy program. Aides will be working one on one or in small groups with English language learners (ESL students) in improving their Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing skills. Classroom aides are also needed to assist adults looking to improve their academic skills in subjects such as Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, and Science in order to obtain their high school equivalency (GED or HiSET) diploma. Classroom aides can assist virtually or in person; times are flexible depending on your schedule. Aides will work closely with classroom instructors in assisting students to improve their literacy skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Ability to make the time commitment of 2 to 3 hours per week to tutor.
- Attainment of clearances
- Flexible schedule
