Lock #44 Footbridge Construction
Old Freemansburg Association will be constructing a wooden footbridge to span over the canal bed at Lockhouse #44. This bridge will provide easier access from the Lehigh Canal Towpath at the Mule Barn over to the Lockhouse. Work includes digging footers, pouring concrete, working with hand and electric tools to prepare the wood for construction, and the actual construction of the bridge. We will supply the necessary tools and water. Long pants and sturdy shoes a must.
